Rebranding HR Management Software

The highly specialized German software CrewBrain makes it easier for companies in the event business to manage their personnel planning and organisation as well as accounting and controlling. We developed the new branding.

The Mission

The software formerly known as “GigPlaner” needed a completely new brand identity. This was due to a difficult starting position of the old name in trademarking on the one hand and a necessary re-positioning of the brand on the other hand. GigPlaner implied a focus on music bands, which did not correspond to reality. A new name as well as a new logo and web design were needed.

The Concept

The name CrewBrain demonstrates the smartness and centralization of the software solution in a contemporary way. Although being an original word creation, CrewBrain conveys what the software is all about from the very first moment, thus creating clarity and arousing curiosity.

The Design

CrewBrain is a flexible, simple, adaptable and surprisingly efficient software. At the same time, it is specialized in the event sector: trade fairs, sporting events, concerts and festivals – in other words, a field that is fun.

Therefore the C of CrewBrain was turned into a logo initial, which in its form reminds of a toy that is as simple as it is fascinating: the “Slinky”. So the logo is predestined to appear animated and in motion. A positive, high-contrast colour palette helps to hit the sweet spot between party and business.
